Pleading Guilty

"What do you want me to do, lie?" The defendant was glaring at her lawyer, her amber eyes like fire. "I can't lie...I just can't, sir!" The lawyer looked at the woman. She really shouldn't wear clothes like that...it could give a bad image to the jury. He rested his temple between his thumb and his little finger, shaking his head in dissatisfication. After a few seconds of inwardly cursing at his client's stupidity, he looked back at the woman in her revealing red dress, placing his hands on the table, looking her straight in the eye. "Ma'am, you don't understand. If you plead guilty, it will mean your life." The woman looked away

It looked as if it was about to fall apart as I got closer to it. From far away, before I began pedaling my bike up the steep hill, it had seemed like a simple farm house. The roof seemed firmly attached to the walls, and the walls firmly attached to the ground. But when I got closer, I could see the weakness of this quaint farmhouse. The painted finish on the white wooden siding was chipped in many places, and the planks supporting the small veranda over the front porch looked as if somebody had swung a very small hammer through them in a few places, creating a few small House on the Hilltop

My SIXTEENTH Entry: School stinks.

I dont' like school that much. Well, I got straight Bs on my finals and my semester grades in my core classes, and As in choir and art (duh). So, I've been in school for a week or so now, and I hate it already. 3rd quarter stinks because it's 10 weeks long; longest quarter of the year. Grr.

So, I'm hungry right now, but I don't feel like walking the fifty or so steps to get to the school store and get something. :-P I shall depart for now.
